Incoloy® Metal Alloys
Iron-Nickel-Chromium superalloys engineered for exceptional oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength at a cost-effective price point.
Incoloy 800 / 800H / 800HT
The standard material for applications requiring high strength and resistance to oxidation, carburization, and other high-temperature corrosion. Widely used in heat treating and petrochemical processing.
Incoloy 825
A nickel-iron-chromium alloy with added molybdenum and copper. Specifically engineered to provide exceptional resistance to corrosive environments, including sulfuric and phosphoric acids, as well as sea water.
What are Incoloy Alloys?
Incoloy alloys are superalloys primarily based on Nickel, Iron, and Chromium. They were developed as a more economical alternative to the Nickel-based Inconel series while still maintaining excellent high-temperature and corrosion-resistant properties.
The addition of Iron makes Incoloy more cost-effective, while the high Chromium content ensures superior resistance to oxidation and carburization.
Key Differences
Nickel Content: Inconel contains >50% Nickel, whereas Incoloy typically contains less than 50% Nickel.
Application Focus: While Inconel is used for extreme heat (jet engines), Incoloy is the preferred choice for industrial heating, petrochemical piping, and aqueous corrosion environments where cost-efficiency is a factor.
| Liga metálica | Key Chemical Elements | Primary Characteristics | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Incoloy 800 | Ni (30-35%), Cr (19-23%), Fe (Bal) | Excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization at high temperatures. | Heat Treatment, Petrochemical |
| Incoloy 825 | Ni (38-46%), Cr, Mo, Cu, Ti | Superior resistance to reducing and oxidizing acids (Sulfuric/Phosphoric). | Chemical Processing, Oil & Gas |
Heat Exchangers
Tubing and piping in high-temp industrial furnaces.
Petróleo e gás
Downhole piping and separation equipment.
Processamento químico
Handling sulfuric and phosphoric acid.
Controlo da poluição
Scrubbers and stack liners.
What forms of Incoloy do you supply?
We supply Incoloy in seamless pipe, welded tube, plate, sheet, round bar, wire, and fittings (flanges, elbows, tees). We can also provide custom forgings.
What is the difference between Incoloy 800, 800H, and 800HT?
The difference lies in the Carbon, Aluminum, and Titanium content. Incoloy 800 is the general grade. 800H has controlled carbon (0.05-0.10%) for better creep strength. 800HT adds Al+Ti restrictions for maximum high-temperature strength.
